Common Loon : The concentration area off Cape Miquelon had a maximum of 120 birds by March 22, I had 87 there on April 14 and 13 the same day of the West coast of Miquelon. Off Langlade I found 14 birds March 26 (RE). A few other birds were seen around the islands as usual (BL/MD/RE/FPA). Few were reported from St. Pierre where one bird seems to have spent the winter in the harbour, still there by May 31 (PA/PB).

We had 332 birds still on the lagoon by March 9 (RE). Two young dead ducklings were found by BL in Miquelon May 13. In St. Pierre one bird spent the winter with domestic ducks and the Wigeon on a pond near the town (RE/DL/PB/PA).
